Kamchatka peninsula is a unique ecological museum under the open sky. Surrounded by seas, Kamchatka peninsula has a mild climate. Russia's largest volcanic belt, made up of 28 active craters, stretches along its shore. Geysers and hot mineral springs are also present. The volcanoes here, high, snow-clad and from time to time active create an exceptional landscape: lower mountain groups and ranges with wide green valleys divide the volcanoes with wild taiga, fast and clear rivers, and ocean coasts. In the center of Kamchatka peninsula is found Eurasia's only geyser valley. More than 150 thermal springs are scattered throughout the peninsula, making this a land of spas and health resorts.
